The first edition of the Ruston High School Alumni Association Newsletter was published and mailed to all members of the alumni association during the last week of June 2010. Our newsletter was the result of many meetings, discussions, suggestions and ideas by members of the association. The original Board of Directors of the association included a newsletter as one of its goals from the beginning, and we are now proud to say that we've made that goal a reality.

The creation of this newsletter was no easy task. Our thanks to Jackson Thigpen (class of '63), John Sachs (class of '61) and to Cathi Cox at Ruston High for their contributions to the newsletter's content, and to Harryette Tinsley's Business and COE class and Jim Hilton (class of '72) for compiling the mailing list. And a special "Thank You" goes out to Mr. Lloyd Bruner and the Chatterbox staff at Ruston High for their work in compiling and organizing the information to form the first newsletter.
